Dan Haser retired from the FBI in 2010, after 23 years (1987-2010) of service as a Special Agent. He spent the majority of his career on assignment at the Washington Field Office, where he investigated health care fraud committed against private carriers and Medicare by doctors, prescription drug diversion rings and durable medical equipment suppliers. He also led a mobile team of Special Agents in the Special Operations Group, which conducted physical surveillance in criminal cases. During prior assignments in Portland and New York City, he investigated general criminal matters, fraud against the U.S. Government and Russian organized crime.
Dan Haser was licensed as a Private Detective in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (PA) from 2012 to 2021 and served a variety of clients, principally in the Pittsburgh, PA area. In 2021, he relocated to Florida and obtained State of Florida Private Investigator license # C 3100506.
Skilled in the art of interviewing, researching complex issues and events, conducting physical surveillance and analyzing financial transactions, he has the requisite training and ability to handle a wide range of investigative and consulting matter in the private sector. Prior to his FBI service, he earned a B.S. degree in accounting and is a former Certified Public Accountant in the State of Maryland.
He is a member of the Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI, Inc. and is included in its exclusive directory of former Special Agents, who are engaged in private investigations, forensic examinations, and security consulting. He served as treasurer of its Pittsburgh chapter for 10 years.
He subscribes to commercial databases for purposes of searching public records and other sources to find facts about businesses and individuals.
